Famous Broadway Shows

In Chicago, if someone asks you to "a show," they're talking about going to the movies.  In New York, "a show" means only Broadway.  A Chorus Line is now on tour, after winning a Pulitzer Prize and becoming Broadway's longest-running musical.  There are now several new favorites to enjoy.  Family shows include Mary Poppins and the Lion King.  Blue Man Group is still filling the theatres. 

If you're visiting New York, ticket outlets are everywhere.  Standing room is often available the same day, and that's a considerable saving on the ticket price.  You can also plan ahead and investigate  Broadway shows on the internet, where you'll find reviews as well as ticket availability.  David Hyde Pierce is now appearing in Accent on Youth. Mamma Mia and Altar Boyz are also current favorites.  Many revivals are in theatres now, including Hair and Guys and Dolls.
