There are lots of movies you can't find on DVD -- some of which are special to some fans. One fairly obscure horror is Night of the Creeps directed by Fred Dekker. I know, more cult than moneymaker. And then there's No Holds Barred for fans of Hulk Hogan and the WWF. Even cheesy films have an audience!
Turner Classic Movies has a poll of the 200 most requested movies not on DVD. A few fairly memorable titles include Strategic Air Command, Green Mansions, Northwest Passage, and The World, the Flesh and the Devil.
My problem is that great Broadway shows weren't somehow photographed for film. Nineteen seventy's Applause starring Lauren Bacall was a fantastic stage redo of All About Eve, and I would buy the movie in a minute, if it existed. Filming just about anything with Stephen Sondheim's music would be bought by me, especially Follies and A Little Night Music. I think that goes for lots of other Broadway fans.
