Some of the great classics now available on DVD are Shirley Temple's "Dimples" and "Curly Top"; "Zorba the Greek" with Anthony Quinn; "Casablanca" with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, which is named as one of the top 100 films by the American Film Institute; "Easy Rider," a 1969 movie which was one of Jack Nicholson's first; "To Kill a Mockingbird" with Gregory Peck; and Bette Davis' 1942 "Now, Voyager." There are also a number of musicals now on DVD. Even some of the old silent movies with Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton are available.
Movies Unlimited has a catalog with all the different movies you can buy. Among the list are dramas, comedies, murder mysteries, science fiction, biographies and horror movies, such as "Dracula" and "Frankenstein."
Even if you own some of these films on VHS, it is worth your time and money to upgrade to DVD. DVDs are better quality and will last much longer. If you don't feel like spending the money, you can always just rent them from your local movie store or online. But remember, because DVDs didn’t exist when they were filmed, you won’t have gag reels, deleted scenes or other special features.
