Slow Cooker Roasted Garlic

Garlic has valuable antioxidant properties and keeps your heart and immune system healthy.  It's also valuable against vampires.  Roasting garlic in a slow cooker transforms the pungent smell and taste of garlic into a sweet taste.  It has more uses than your Italian sauce:  Roasted garlic can replace butter on crusty bread or liven up steamed vegetables.  Garlic cloves can be used in slow cookers and while making sautes.  Here's how.

 

Just place 2 heads of garlic in foil and drizzle 2 teaspoons olive oil.  Add a few herbs.  Seal edges.  Place in slow cooker on low about 5 hours.  Or to use cloves, cut off the pointed end of each head and squeeze out the cloves.  This can be spread right on bread.  For a recipe in more detail, please consult the website below.
