champion. Agassi’s early training led to
mastery in hand-eye coordination. He
stood at the midpoint of the baseline, ready for any position to return, and
exhausted his opponents as they ran back and forth.

1986, at age 16, Agassi became a professional.
He won the first and lost the second match in his first tournament. In 1987 he ranked 25th in the world, having
