Movie Remakes - For Better or Worse?

Hi Mike,
This is your comment:
Pellam 1-2-3 did not do as well as they hoped. They remade "The Hulk" only a few years after the first (though not the same story, but they changed the origin of the Hulk). I liked both the original and the remake equally.
Response:
Pelham 1-2-3 was a great 1973 book, and then it became a nail-biting movie in 1974 with Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw. A TV movie was made in 1998 with Edward James Olmos. (Did anyone see it?) Then there was 2009's adaptation with Denzel Washington and John Travolta. It was fun to see the differences based on how technology had changed. I thought they followed the story well. And, come on, it had Denzel.
Like some others, the only Hulk I'm reminded of is Bill Bixby morphing into Lou Ferrigno. But in the 2008 movie, Edward Norton's, well, an incredible actor. Just think -- this has been a comic, a TV show, a movie, an animated movie, and a game. And it's a great homage to "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."
